Podcast Episode 4 –
Measuring Liveability

URBANTALK PODCAST

Belinda chats with Kylie Legge, founder of social research company Place Score to discuss how we measure and think about liveability in our cities. Place Score has done fantastic work in collecting data from communities all over the country to discover what they value, need and want from their neighbourhood. The goal is to use this data to help councils and the private sector create great, people centric places and spaces.

Being able to gather and track information about how actual people feel about their local area and what they want is key to ensuring our cities and neighbourhoods are fulfilling the needs of the people that live there.

In 2021, Place Score conducted their first ever Liveability Census. You can read some of the findings in the 2021 State of Place Report here.
